Fräbel Glass Studio & Gallery

The Fräbel Studio in Atlanta first introduced the world to
"sculptural torchwork" where the discipline and skill of the
scientific glassblower are merged with the imagination and
spontaneity of the creative mind of the artist. Atlanta is home to
the studio of the renowned hot boron glass sculptor
Hans Godo Fräbel- the first glass artist to be selected as
Artist of the Year by ABSOLUT Vodka.
The Fräbel Studio is one of the more interesting attractions in Atlanta. Visitors can expect to see 9 highly skilled artisans (usually including Hans-Godo Fräbel, the Studio's principal artist and the Absolut Vodka artist of the year in1987) turning hot glass into the beautiful sculptures. There are two galleries for display and purchase in Atlanta. One is at the studio, and the other is in Buckhead, an upscale shopping section of Atlanta. Prices range from $60 for traditional, tear drop vases to $10,000 for clown sculptures personally signatured by the principal artist.
Studio Hours: Monday through Friday 9 until 5. The studio and gallery at studio will be closed on Saturdays & Sundays and most national holidays. 404/351-9794, 800/843-1450. Fax 404/351-1491.
